The Johnstown-Monroe Schools is seeking an athletic director. The athletic director oversees and manages all aspects of the school's athletic program, ensuring compliance with rules, managing coaches and staff, and overseeing athletic events. This position will report to the high school principal. This position includes but is not limited to:
- Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the athletic program, including sports, events, and related activities.
- Staff Supervision: Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff.
- Budgeting and Finances: Develop and manage the athletic program budget, including revenue generation and expenditure.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage schedules for games, practices, and other athletic events.
- Compliance: Ensure the school and program comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and laws.
- Event Management: Oversee all aspects of athletic events, including game management, security, and ticket sales.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with coaches, staff, parents, and the community. Possible management of social media for the department.
- Facility Management: Oversee the condition and use of athletic facilities.
- Promoting Athletics: Publicize athletic programs and events to increase awareness and support.
- Player Eligibility: Ensure all athletes meet eligibility requirements for participation.
- Other Duties as Assigned
