Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and multi-disciplinary movement professional to join our team as a Kinesiologist with a Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree. This hybrid role focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation support, and functional movement training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing movement patterns, developing individualized corrective programs, and working collaboratively within a clinical or wellness setting to optimize client's outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional movement assessments and postural screenings to identify muscular imbalances and faulty movement patterns.
- Design and implement corrective exercise programs tailored to individual client/patient needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Create care plans, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.
- Educate clients/patients on injury prevention, body mechanics, and safe movement practices.
- Monitor progress and adjust exercise programs based on performance, pain levels, and recovery.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers, and other health professionals to provide integrated care.
- Provide support in wellness environments, including Lifestyle and Wellness Center.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (e.g., NASM-CES or equivalent).
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current PTA license (if applicable in your state/region).
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-centered care.
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience in a rehabilitation, clinical, or fitness setting.
