Head Golf Professional

The Head Golf Professional is responsible for managing daily golf operations, ensuring exceptional service and an outstanding golf experience for members and guests. This role oversees staff, golf programs, tournaments, and facility operations while maintaining fiscal responsibility and adherence to club policies.

• PGA Membership required.
• Extensive knowledge of golf operations, tournament organization, golf instruction, and club fitting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with golf management software, POS systems, and inventory control.
• Understanding of golf cart maintenance, course setup, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Supervise daily golf operations, ensuring smooth course play, tee time management, and adherence to club policies.
• Oversee golf services, including reservations, player check-ins, starter and marshal activities, and pace of play monitoring.
• Enforce golf course rules and policies to ensure a positive experience for all players.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage all golf operations personnel, including assistant professionals, shop staff, starters, and outside service attendants.
• Foster a professional, service-oriented team culture with ongoing staff development.
• Coordinate with the Director of Golf, General Manager, and club committees on golf-related matters.
• Plan and manage club tournaments, member events, and golf outings.
• Promote golf instruction programs for all skill levels, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.
• Oversee a well-maintained and properly equipped practice facility.
• Ensure proper collection and reporting of fees for guest rounds, cart rentals, merchandise, and other golf-related transactions.
• Maintain inventory control for the golf shop, ensuring a profitable merchandise program aligned with member preferences.
• Assist in preparing budgets, payroll, and financial reports while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
