The Coordinator of Competitive Sports develops and administers policies and procedures for the effective and efficient operation of a comprehensive competitive sports program
Supervises and mentors Competitive Sports Graduate Assistant(s); recruits a diverse staff and hires, trains, motivates, mentors, supervises and evaluates assigned student competitive sports staff of 45 student employees. Manages completion of game schedules and operations across all intramural programming including meeting with facilities, planning for staffing and reviewing nightly shift reports ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, communication with marketing about Competitive Sports program promotion, sport club disciplinary procedures. Assists in sport club and officer development meetings and trainings. Develops and administers policies and procedures for effective and efficient operations to ensure successful programming and problem solves independently for routine matters and provides feedback to staff. Create materials for staff trainings; develop and oversee student employee recognition processes.
Supports Esports operations including student staff oversight (30 students) for payroll and staff scheduling, execution of special events and rentals, liaison to Student Life IT for support of both hardware and software including service tickets and planning, planning for summer Esports camps in coordinator with Camp Recky leadership.
Serves as a representative of the department and program at various meetings and events; administers the software used in area (including Fusion, Do Sports Easy, Connect 2 by training student staff on software systems, auditing users and ensuring compliance with all university policies, and serving as an administrative user and other duties as assigned, some evening and weekend work required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL EDUCATION DESIRED:
Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL QUAILIFICATIONS DESIRED: Two years experience of Intramural or Sport Club experience (GAA time counts). Masters degree desired; experience with coordinating leagues, tournaments and events in Rec Sports setting desired; experience in training or teaching skills needed to officiate various sports desired and experience supervising student employees desired. Experience using IMLeagues and or Do Sports Easy desired. Requires successful completion of a background check.
