Job Title: Assistant General Manager / Sales Manager

Reports to : General Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including sales performance and reporting, staffing, cash management, customer service, retail, facility cleanliness, private party operations and workplace employee activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Exhibits daily adherence and leadership regarding Goldfish Swim School core values.
2. Directs and controls daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS standard operating procedures and our sales operations flow, as indicated by our Every Day Golden Experience matrix.
3. Manages the staff of GSS to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and favorable employee satisfaction.
4. Trains and oversees the front desk to provide superior sales performance and lead management, as measured by high conversion rates and increasing enrollments.
5. Interacts with managers and Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service and employee performance and training.
6. Provides sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
7. Closely and frequently coordinates with our franchisor representatives, local sales & marketing director, Regional Manager, and General Manager.
8. Provides direction in the retail area to ensure products are stored, organized, neatly displayed, and priced for sale.
9. Trains and oversees private party staff to ensure that the GSS standard operating procedures are being maintained.
10. Gains knowledge and experience of scheduling software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting and administrative functions.
11. Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
12. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
13. Ensures compliance with the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility. Trains staff on the GSS EAP.
14. Maintains required certifications.
15. Schedules front desk staff and closely coordinates with the General Manager to manage payroll.
16. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.

The safety of our swimmers, parents and team members is of the utmost importance. Goldfish Swim School follows all Minnesota Department of Health safety requirements and operates with a culture of compliance. Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
