Assistant Golf Pro

Assists Golf Professional with numerous activities relating to the management and operation the club's golf program.

Job Tasks

1. Promote Lake Arrowhead Country Club and the Game of Golf
2. Assists golf professional in Golf instruction, golf operations, merchandising, on-course, cart and outside personnel management responsibilities.
3. Work alongside the Director of Golf to properly execute each tournament on the Annual calendar. Be the primary person responsible for the tournament software and executing our annual tournament calendar
4. Help maintain pro shop inventory and monthly inventory levels.
5. Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations.
6. Work alongside Golf Shop and Cart Attendants to properly run the daily golf operations.
7. Responsible for maintaining daily pace of play and flow of the golf course.
8. Plan and conduct Junior clinics for summer time.
9. Assists members in posting scores and general handicap maintenance.
10. Assumes golf professional's duties in his absence.
11. Manages daily opening & closing of golf operations visible during peak times.
12. Assists in training, supervising, scheduling and evaluation of cart attendants.
13. Insures that all staff are aware of all special events, including location and times.
14. Assists in the coordination of tournaments and special events.
15. Provides golf instruction as best to avoid scheduled Golf Shop times when no other Golf Shop attendants are available.
16. Performs starter or marshal duties as needed.
17. Assists in maintaining appearance of pro shop.
18. Ensures course is properly marked for regular and tournament play.
19. Attends staff meetings as well as conferences and meetings as required by PGA.
20. Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Golf.
