Essential function is to assist the program director with managing the day camp program. This will include, but not limited to, supervision and leadership of all campers and staff, assisting with campers needs such as discipline, and ensuring camper accountability. The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for organizing group activities for day camp, verifying daily attendance of day campers, preparing a weekly newsletter for staff and parents and sending out midweek parent communication. The Assistant Camp Director will provide a safe and nurturing environment for everyone and will be actively involved and have a positive attitude about all programs. This is a seasonal temporary position.
Summer Camp Dates: 6/8/2026 - 7/17/2026Creative and energetic, passion for working with children and a love for the outdoors. Prior camp staff experience. Ability to take initiative, be highly organized, effectively communicate and manage groups. Professional attitude matched with lots of enthusiasm. Candidates should be at least 21 years old. Candidates must be able to work daytime hours ranging from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Due to the leadership aspect of this position no ½ day positions are available.
Work days are Monday-Friday from June 8, 2026-July 17, 2026. Must be available for staff training on May 28, 2026 -May 30, 2026. This position requires drug testing and background check prior to employment. Summer employees are also eligible to work Spring Break Camp March 29, 2027-April 3, 2027.
