Job Description

Under instruction and supervision by a lead person will assist in monitoring and maintaining pool filtration system and adjusting water chemistry as needed to maintain standards. Will assist in registering swimmer for swimming lessons and other facility activities. Officiates at swimming meets as needed. Will perform duties as leader for lifeguard aid and other temporary employees. Assists in teaching swimming lessons. Monitors the use of the swimming pool and enforces all safety rules. Monitors locker weight and steam rooms. Assists in implementing various aquatic competitions. Performs a variety of miscellaneous such as but not limited to answering incoming calls running errands picking up supplies as needed selling tickets collecting fees helping set up for classes events and any other duties/assignments needed. Responds to public inquires about aquatics programs made by telephone correspondence or during public meetings. Assists/monitors in all other recreation activities in-house or at any other recreational facilities. Maintains records and statistics for various aquatics programs. Assists in the maintenance of the swimming pool. Performs water tests for correct water chemistry. Will perform other duties as assigned.

STARTING HOURLY PAY: $12.00 p/h MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of tenth grade education Lifeguard Training Certification First Aid CPR/AED Certification Must pass a swim pre-test Other Conditions: Must pass background check PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year experience on deck life guarding. 1 year as ARC Lifeguard
