The Greenville Recreation and Parks Department is recruiting for Camp Supervisors needed for
Camp Escape (Drew Steele Center).
Minimum Age: 21 years old, as of May 12, 2026
Pay Rate : $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Camp runs from June 15 to July 31, 2026. There is no camp on June 19 and July 3
All staff are expected to attend mandatory training before camp starts
This is a continuous posting and may close at any time Camp Escape (Drew Steele Center)
This position assumes on-site responsibility for the operation of the program; provides daily guidance to campers aged 5-21 with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This position plans and directs a portion of daily activities and actively participates with campers while assisting other counselors. In addition, this position supervises and evaluates program and staff, maintains attendance records, handles parental concerns and complaints, and performs other duties as assigned.

- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities in recreation or physical education.
- Previous related experience (paid or volunteer), such as in a school, camp, daycare, or recreational setting.
- A college graduate with some supervisory experience is preferred for all supervisory positions.
- promoting good conduct and acting as a role model for campers.
- presenting a mature professional demeanor.
- working in a team environment.
- maintain effective and courteous working relationships with campers.
- understand and abide by Greenville Recreation and Parks Department policies and procedures.
- understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by N.C. or another state.
- Valid CPR and First Aid/AED certifications are required prior to the start of camp.
