This position assists with the overall operation of the Globe Community Center Pool, ensuring the safety of all who use the facility.
Ensure that pool rules and regulations are followed.
Administer lifesaving techniques and first aid.
Supervise and participate in the issuance, use, care and maintenance of aquatic supplies and equipment.
Communicate positively and effectively with co-workers, parents, pool patrons, program participants, coaches, and volunteers.
Participate in staff training sessions and lifesaving techniques and drills.
Provide support for access to programs, buildings, and services.
Maintain discipline in and around swimming pool areas; create and maintain a safe environment for patrons.
Support the Citys policies, goals and objectives and work with management and other staff to ethically achieve such goals and objectives; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Performs rescue and administers artificial respiration, CPR and first aid.
Checks the proper maintenance of equipment and sanitation of pools and bathhouse facilities.
Other duties as assigned. Must be at least 15 years of age.
Lifeguard, Water park, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications from a professionally recognized provider such as American Red Cross, Ellis or Starfish.
Other combinations of experience and education which meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
