Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater.
All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safety of the patrons who attend the swim center as well as the sanitary efficient operation of the Swim Center. Position requires working holidays, early mornings, evenings and weekends.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Administers the safety rules and regulations are adhered to by all individuals using the swim pool area, including but not limited to students, patrons, staff, and other lifeguards.
Performs water assay tests every 3 to 4 hours and logs accordingly.
Responsible for monitoring the membership database and daily guest check ins, locker rentals, and concession sales.
Participated in swim lesson training and teaches swim lessons for children.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Read and comprehend instructions, write information and complete simple forms. American Red Cross Lifeguard training, First Aid and CPR or equivalent. Must be able to work weekends and evenings
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math. Swim Lesson instruction.
