Perform cleanup and maintenance of Aquatic Center pool area, equipment, locker facilities and classroom. Assume responsibilities of opening & closing of Aquatic Center, restrooms, and locker facilities. Appear professional/wear lifeguard uniform. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be, or able to obtain through Daytona State College's Aquatic Center, a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer. Must be able to swim 300 yards and retrieve 10 lbs. object from minimum of 7 ft depth. Must possess good interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be interested in providing water safety.
