Position Summary
The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the 2year Graduate Assistant position for Intramural Sports Coordinator. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference as well as an associate member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Big South, and East Coast Conferences. This position reports to the Director of Recreational Sports (or designated athletics or campus recreation administrator).
The Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports will assist with the administration, coordination, and daily operations of a comprehensive intramural sports program, providing competitive and recreational opportunities for the Bryant University campus community while gaining practical experience in sports and recreation administration.
Salary Range:
GA compensation includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500.00 stipend in Spring and Fall semesters starting August 1. Graduate School is a 2year parttime program beginning August 2026 through August 2028.

Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the planning, coordination, and administration of the intramural sports program, including league, tournament, and special event offerings
Managing daytoday intramural operations including scheduling, facility reservations, equipment setup and breakdown, and site supervision
Recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising student officials and game staff
Managing participant registration, eligibility verification, and league standings through intramural management software
Serving as a primary point of contact for intramural participants, captains, officials, and campus partners
Enforcing intramural policies, procedures, and sportsmanship standards
Assisting with risk management, incident reporting, and safety protocols during intramural activities
Supporting promotional efforts to market intramural offerings and enhance student engagement
Assisting with administrative duties such as record keeping, data tracking, reporting, and meeting minutes
Performing other duties as assigned
This position requires availability on nights and weekends, corresponding with intramural programming schedules and special events.
Qualifications
Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and acceptance into the Bryant University Graduate School (acceptance must be confirmed before candidate will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with intramural sports, recreational sports, or event management
Knowledge of intramural sport rules, officiating, and scheduling practices
Experience supervising student employees or officials
Strong organizational, leadership, and conflictresolution skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
Exposure to collegiate recreation or athletics
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
