CITY OF STAUNTON

Referees/Umpires @ Staunton Parks and Recreation Department

Staunton Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for part-time Referees and Umpires for their adult Soccer and Softball leagues. Previous experience working as a referee and/or umpire is highly desired. Experience and knowledge of the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department is a plus. Pay: Soccer-$45/game; Softball-$40/game and Futsal-$35/game. These positions are opened until filled.

Essential Duties: These are official/referee positions in the Recreation Division of the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department. The individuals appointed to these positions will be required to referee or keep score at a variety of adult sports as needed (i.e. soccer, softball, etc.) Additionally, appointed employees will be required to assist office staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: A working knowledge of most sports (or the particular sport applicant is interested in, i.e. soccer, softball, etc.) PLEASE INDICATE SPORTS EXPERIENCE IN THE CERTIFICATIONS SECTION OF THE APPLICATION. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
