This position reports directly to the site Program Manager and is responsible for coordinating activities for clients and their families enrolled in United States Veterans Initiatives (U.S.VETS) programs and coordinating volunteers to support activities and secure resources that benefit client households.

Responsibilities
Develops, promotes, and maintains a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the U.S.VETS site
Surveys staff regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance and surveys clients for needs and preferences for activities
Coordinates volunteer application process in conjunction with Human Resources as needed
Coordinates volunteer placement within programs and departments
Conducts volunteer orientation and training
Maintains records and reports on volunteer participation
Organizes site tours related to volunteer and client activities
Supports development and fundraising events
Develops and maintains a calendar of client and volunteer activities
Supports clients in reaching personal, social, and vocational goals
Plans and conducts therapeutic and recreational activities
Coordinates transportation for volunteer and client activities
Tracks client participation and metrics
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience
Experience coordinating volunteer programs
Experience working with homeless and/or client populations preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Valid drivers license required
