Mat Pilates Instructor (Part-Time)
Department: Recreation
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Location: West Fargo Park District
Position Summary:
The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Mat Pilates Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and inclusive classes for community members of varying fitness levels. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment while delivering effective Pilates instruction that promotes strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. Lead scheduled mat Pilates classes for participants of all experience levels
Design and implement safe, balanced, and engaging class routines
Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and modifications as needed
Ensure participant safety by monitoring form and offering corrections
Arrive on time to set up and stay after class for cleanup
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive class atmosphere
Communicate effectively with participants and recreation staff
Track attendance and report any incidents or concerns
Current Mat Pilates certification (required)
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (required or ability to obtain)
Prior group fitness instruction experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt classes to different fitness levels and needs
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Schedule:
Classes scheduled based on program needs (weekday mornings, 9:00am preferably)
Flexible, part-time hours

Work Environment:
Classes may be held indoors at recreation facilities or outdoors in park settings
Requires light physical activity including demonstrating exercises and moving equipment
