As a secondary staff person, the Junior Dance Camp Counselor is responsible for the safety, well-being and supervision of the campers. All assigned duties will be performed in a manner reflecting the YMCA of the USA character development traits of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

What You'll Do
- Assist with teaching age-appropriate classes in styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, or creative movement.
- Support campers in learning and practicing choreography.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers in the group and camp-wide and ensure a risk-free environment for all.
- Assist with the implementation of activities in accordance with the camp schedule.
- Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff.
- Organize and maintain camp equipment, supplies, and property.
- Actively participate in all aspects of the day camp schedule as assigned.
- Maintain camp records including, but not limited to accident & incident reports, sign in/out sheets, attendance documents.
- Maintain expectations of the YMCA guidelines for requirements/ratio and help others do the same.
- Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
