JOB DESCRIPTION

Lifeguard

Hourly Pay Rate: $15.00

The Lifeguard will support Campus Recreation in various administrative and operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assuring swimmers are supervised at all times
• Being aware of and implementing safety guidelines
• Following safety and security protocols during swim lessons
• Performing routine maintenance
• Assisting in the direction, supervision, and organization of swimmers in the pool and during swim lessons
• Attending all required orientations and meetings
• Completing annual certifications
• Enforcing all Reily Center policies and procedures
• Providing customer service and professionally interacting with patrons and staff

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• 16 years of age or older
• A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
• A current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification (potentially)
