Job Description: Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and is one of the largest of Virginias 23 community colleges. Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate a diverse range of student activities, events, and programs that support student engagement and success
- Develop and maintain an annual student activities calendar and implement targeted marketing strategies to promote participation
- Manage event logistics including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with institutional policies and risk management procedures
- Supervise student activities staff, including student workers and part time staff, through hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Advise and support student clubs, organizations, and the Student Government Association to promote leadership development and ensure compliance with college policies
- Assist in the development and oversight of program budgets and maintain accurate records related to programming, participation, and assessment
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus partners to deliver co-curricular programming and support college wide initiatives.
Special Assignments:
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications:Required:
- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing events, programs, or student activities
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate complex activities
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and foster student engagement and leadership development
- Ability to work at both campuses and travel within the Colleges service region
- Successful completion and passing of a background check.

- Experience working in higher education, student activities, or student affairs
- Experience advising student organizations, student government, or leadership programs
