Openings as of 5/9/2026 force display?True Openings as of 5/9/2026 Lifeguard (3 Positions) - Summer 2026 JobID: 63338 Position Type: Contract/Hourly Employment/ Extra Curricular - All Personnel Date Posted: 5/8/2026 Location: Clay County Schools Closing Date: 05/15/2026 County: Clay County Schools Pending Employment Criminal Background Check Drug Test Requirements Minimum of 16 years of age Work Permit required for anyone 17 years old or younger Ability to relate to staff and patrons Required Certifications: Lifeguarding (ARC, YMCA or Ellis & Associates) CPR (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) First Aid (American Red Cross or State Emergency Medical Technician) Responsibilities: Ensuring the safety of patrons including accident prevention in the water and on surrounding areas The rescue and care of accident victims Comply with and enforce all policies, procedures and regulations set by Clay County Board of Education for this facility Present oneself in a professional manner at all times Prevent accidents and minimize or eliminate hazardous conditions Respond quickly to all emergency situations in the water or on surrounding areas Administer any first aid needed by a victim of an accident Educate patrons and inform them of the purpose and need for rules and regulations Attend all staff meetings and trainings Complete all records and reports as required Perform other support duties as required Salary $12.00 per hour Terms of Employment Summer Months 2026 Up to 6 days per week, or when pool is open, including scheduled pool parties.
