Aquatics Supervisors are responsible for the care and safety all guests and employees in the park. Supervisors will oversee the day-to-day operation in their assigned areas, assist with training of Aquatics staff, as well as assist with administrative duties. Lead by example, a t t i t ude, and as a represen t a t ion of Adven t ureland s core values
Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned Lifeguard s
Become knowledgeable of performing t he essen t ial du t ies of all aqua t ics and lifeguarding posi t ions and backfill t hese posi t ions when needed
Par t icipa t e in all aspec t s of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orien t a t ion , t raining, performance coaching, and discipline.
Ensure lifeguard ro t a t ions are wi t hin t he Ellis and Associa t es s t andards
Ensure lifeguards are exceeding t he Ellis and Associa t es s t andards
Ensure t ha t all required meal and o t her breaks are being given in accordance wi t h Iowa law

Render first-aid (within scope of knowledge) to injured guests or Lifeguard s

Escala t e major gues t concerns t o managemen t or main t enance t eam in a t imely manner
Main t ain cons t an t vigilance and proac t ively iden t ify po t en t ial hazards inform Park leadership and/or main t enance t eam of any such si t ua t ions in a t imely manner
Ensure t ha t all Park areas are clean and free of hazards, prior t o daily opening

1-2 years of previous lifeguard experience desired

All Lifeguard candida t es will be required t o ob t ain t he Ellis Lifeguard Cer t ifica t ion ins t ruc t ional handbook and pass all c er t ifica t ion requiremen t s.
