Primary Duties andResponsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator provides coordination, logistical support, and supervision of strategic live event activities of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Provides event coordination leadership, marketing support, and guidance for students, staff, and faculty involved in the Belmont Showcase Series, Curb College Events, and other University events as assigned.
1. Collaborate with CEMB Live Production Coordinator to provide leadership, guidance, & mentorship to students involved in the Belmont Showcase Series. Supervise student event teams to oversee calendar planning, event logistics, hospitality, marketing, & artist application process. Coordinate industry relationships connected to the showcases for partnerships, judging panels, & student educational opportunities. In conjunction with the Production Coordinator & Senior Director of Operations, facilitate Showcase budget.
2. Support Senior Director of External Partnerships on strategic events. Assist with event logistics, planning, and coordination. Serve as the primary contact on-site for planned events. Duties might include ordering catering, liaising with production vendors, and managing invitations. Facilitate assigned budget. Serve as a primary point of contact on the CEMB programming committee.
3. Collaborate with Student Enrichment and Marketing Manager to carry out event logistics, planning, & coordination to ensure impactuful, educational CEMB sponsored events. Duties might include odering catering, liaising with production vendors, managing invitation lists, & coordinating assigned operating budget. Coordinate Showcase Series marketing efforts with CEMB socials and marketing platforms.
4. Develop, manage, and maintain beneficial internal and external relationships such as university event services partners, vendors, hospitality suppliers, as well as mentoring opportunites for enhancing the Showcase student development process.

Required Experience Experience: 1-3 years of experience working in event coordination and logistics. Preferably has experience working with and leading students. Preferably possesses knowledge of the entertainment industry.
