What Youll Do

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee youth athletic practices, games, and tournaments by ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with league rules and town policies. Athletic Facility Supervisors provide leadership and support to scorekeepers, coaches, parents, and participants while assisting with event setup, reporting, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, broad sports knowledge, and the ability to effectively manage on-site operations and resolve issues.

Some specific examples include (this is not an exhaustive list and is only for illustration purposes

• Lead individual and group swim lessons for all ages and skill levels
• Teach proper swimming techniques, water safety, and survival skills
• Create and follow structured lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Monitor swimmers to ensure safety and prevent accidents
• Enforce all pool rules and safety guidelines consistently
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and/or parents
• Track student progress
• Maintain a clean and organized pool area before and after lessons
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to support program goals
• Promote swim programs and encourage continued participation

• Prior swim instruction experience
