Outdoor Pool Lifeguards

The Lewiston Recreation Department needs: OUTDOOR LIFEGUARDS

GENERAL INFORMATION: Department: Recreation

Barg. Unit: Non-Union

Status: Seasonal (30-40 hours/week June-August)

Schedule: Hours of work will be 9:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 /hourly

Kennedy Park Pool will be open Monday-Saturday.

• Must be able to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Maintain active surveillance of the pool area
• Know/review all emergency procedures, respond to emergencies appropriately and complete necessary related reports
• Perform routine equipment checks, check the pool area for hazardous conditions upon arrival and throughout shift
• Understand and effectively apply all rules and regulations, consistently exercises good judgement

Willing to train the right candidates!

MUST HAVE (or be able to obtain):

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and Basic First Aid
