Aquatics Coordinator (Seasonal)

The Country Club of Virginia is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Aquatics Coordinator to join our Aquatics team for the summer season. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about aquatic instruction, staff development, and delivering exceptional member experiences in a safe and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Aquatics program that serves members of all ages and skill levels
• Lead the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance oversight of Aquatics staff, including the Head Swim Coach, Lead Swim Coach, Head Dive Coach, and Lead Instructor

• Create a welcoming, service-focused environment that fosters strong member engagement

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Aquatics events designed to encourage participation and enhance the member experience

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment by enforcing all Aquatics safety protocols and ensuring compliance among members and staff
• Manage operational logistics for Aquatics teams, including billing, uniforms, equipment, and related administrative processes
• Oversee daily Aquatics operations, including scheduling, facility readiness, and coordination with Club leadership to optimize programming and service delivery
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in aquatics programming, coaching, or swim instruction
• Strong background in managing staff, training, and scheduling
• Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience handling team logistics, event planning, and program development
