POSITION SUMMARY:
Pay Range based off of experience and qualifications: $18.35-$22.45
Under the supervision of the Director, create, support and track personalized workouts for members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design safe and effective personal training programs for individual/group clients specific to their goals and ability levels. Instruct clients in the strength training principles, training procedures, and exercise techniques adapting to the design model of YMCA. Educate clients on the proper and preferred use of all fitness equipment in the wellness center. Provide individual supervision, reinforcement and support during clients' training sessions. Promote personal training through personal example and member interaction. Help maintain a neat, clean and pleasant environment on the wellness floor. Stay current on fitness concepts and ideas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience (minimum one year in the health and wellness field) preferred Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications. Current Personal Trainer certification. (NASM, AFAA, or ACSM) Excellent human relations and communications skills.
