In the role of a Male Mentor & Coach, you must be highly innovative and creative. Yet, a personal teen Coach/Male Mentor is more than just an innovator! A personal Coach/Male Mentor for a Teen is a person who is expected to participate in the social, emotional, and intellectual development of their charges, and will work with a Teenager on such areas as development, household chores, morals, ethics, social manners, encourage/promote school events, social events, internship searches, socialization and more.

Our son is a great 15-year old with excellent grades and abilities. Hes actually ahead in many ways but still needs a personal Coach/Mentor to take him to the next level. Items 1-10 outline the duties and weas parents will coach YOU first, before you even begin with our Teen. Training will be provided but were seeking someone innovative who can help create this position into something great.

$16.50 per hour, to start. Work with teen student in his own home! Located near downtown Miami.

General schedule and duties:

1. Two weekday afternoons per week 3pm 7pm PLUS one Saturday OR Sunday morning OR-- afternoon shift. Must be able to work in the Edgewater neighborhood (near Publix at 17th & Biscayne).

2. Male mentor and Coach to help teenager get in gear. This doesnt mean being super strict or pushy. It means truly caring and being thoughtful, as well as being fully prepared for each shift. Your shift could include any of the following tasks:
a. Discourage gaming in favor of completing household chores, from start-to-finish
b. Assist student is finding Internships or a Part-time jobbe a great Coach and spend time helping student (parents will provide guidance and tell you what to do in this regard)
c. Watch television and movies together
d. Read books, at least 25-minutes per visit (student reads a book and Male Mentor/Coach brings a book to read)
e. Work with student on minor household cleaning chores to encourage helping in the family

3. Must be extremely organized, clean and tidy with pleasant attitude and an upbeat person with happy demeanor rather than sad/depressed person NO sloppy people, no drug-users, no criminal backgrounds, no shady folks, etc, etc, etc.

4. Must be a U.S. citizen with U.S. Passport and Identification (Drivers License or State I.D.). Many references will be required AND checked

5. Must speak fluent English. Please do NOT reply in Spanish or some other language.

6. Must be able to lift heavy furniture and mop or dust below it; Must enjoy playing with kids and have great energy/ physical abilities like throwing a baseball or kicking around a soccer ball. If you are extremely elderly or do not have any strength, this job isnt for you.

7. Dusting, Floor Cleaning, Organizing, and Helping with youngster will be required. Must have experience with Teens and experience with routine cleaning tasks.

8. A list of what to do will be provided (no guesswork and the shift goes by very quickly). THIS IS A FUN POSITION, IT WONT FEEL LIKE WORK!!!

9. On certain afternoons, participate in playing cards, games, or some other sport activity
