Age Well Recreation is seeking outgoing, energetic, and compassionate Independent Contract Yoga Instructors to lead Chair Yoga and wellness classes for older adults in senior living communities.

This is not an employee position. Instructors operate as independent contractors and maintain control over their own availability and scheduling preferences.

We are looking for instructors who are:

Warm, engaging, and comfortable leading a room
Passionate about helping older adults age well
Reliable, professional, and personable
Comfortable teaching safe, adaptive chair-based movement classes
Interested in creating connection, joy, and positive energy through wellness programming

Requirements:

Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance preferred
Professional liability insurance required (guidance available for obtaining coverage)
Willingness to complete an online Dementia Awareness / Dementia Care course
Reliable transportation required
Flexible weekday and/or weekend availability
Comfortable traveling throughout agreed upon service area within Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens

Typical Class Hours:

Morning programs: approximately 10 AM12 PM
Afternoon programs: approximately 2 PM4 PM
Opportunities available MondaySunday
