High School Athletic Director - Promotional Only

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR ADMINISTRATIVE RELATIONSHIP The position of High School Athletic Director is a full-time teaching position reporting directly to the Principal. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A teaching period is provided for this position which includes the following duties and responsibilities: 1. Inform all student athletes and coaches of their responsibilities for maintaining high levels of good sportsmanship; 2. coordinate all athletic activities on the high school campus; 3. assist in selection and training of the coaching staff; 4. prepare all contracts with other school; 5. represent the school in League and CIF meetings; 6. be present at all home athletic contests; 7. provide supervision of athletic contests; 8. attend staff and administrative site meetings; and 9. other duties as assigned by the Principal. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS 1. Valid California teaching credential 2. Successful coaching experience at the Varsity level 3. Demonstrated leadership ability in school-related coaching and athletics 4. A good workable relationship with high school students
