Exercise Physiologist

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Exercise Physiologist to provide services at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, NM.

Position Highlights

• Full Time
• Monday thru Friday (7 a to 4p)
• Healthcare Benefits
• Shall provide direct support to academy leadership, physical training (PT) departments, instructors, and trainees.

Scope of Work

• Conduct daily observations of PT classes, ensuring adherence to approved curricula and standards, and provide feedback to instructors and leadership.
• Assist and provide guidance in designing, reviewing, and updating the Pre-Employment Physical Readiness Program annually to reflect current best practices and operational requirements.
• Assist in leading and coordinating Physical Training Instructor Qualification Courses and providing guidance in standardizing instructor competencies across the academy.
• Work closely with nutritionists, medical staff, and academy leadership to assist in delivering integrated health and wellness solutions.
• Collect, analyze, and report on fitness testing and performance data to evidence-based curriculum adjustments and leadership decision-making.
• Assist with investigating musculoskeletal and environmental injuries, conduct root cause analyses, and provide evidence-based recommendations for risk mitigation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Performance, or related field (masters preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in tactical, military, law enforcement, or high-risk occupational training environments.
• Current NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based training, injury prevention, and performance
