Seasonal Camp Counselor - Spring Branch

Summary The Camp Counselor plays a vital role in creating a positive and safe camp experience by fostering effective communication with staff, parents, and campers. This position involves providing attentive care, guidance, and support to campers while maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Supervision Received & Exercised The Camp Counselor receives direction from the Camp Leads, Front Office Manager, and Director of Operations. Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist with camper check-in and ensure correct group placement based on color groups. Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude, especially when interacting with parents and campers. Help campers organize and keep track of their belongings. Manage and regulate camper foot traffic effectively. Follow the camp schedule and proactively lead activities. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all Wolfies policies when communicating with staff and parents. Support problem-solving efforts with campers. Greet campers with positive affirmations and encouragement. Approach all interactions with gentleness and understanding. Communicate clearly and concisely with staff members. Actively listen, receive, and implement directions from supervisors. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the camp facility. Follow all rules and regulations outlined in the Wolfies Camp Handbook. Requirements Requirements Mandatory attendance at all staff meetings and training sessions. Current CPR certification. Consistently positive and upbeat attitude. Strong listening and communication skills.
