The Physical Education/Yoga Teacher will create and implement interdisciplinary learning experiences for students in grades K-6, with curriculum and collaboration opportunities provided alongside fellow Physical Education/Yoga Teachers. This position provides standards-aligned physical education instruction that incorporates yoga, wellness, and the District's World Ready Traits and Skills while supporting the diverse needs of students. Responsibilities include developing age-appropriate lessons, monitoring student progress, collaborating with staff, fostering teamwork and belonging, organizing school activities and clubs, supporting wellness and fitness initiatives, maintaining equipment, and partnering with the community to promote student health and safety. At EUSD, our Enrichment Program is an essential part of the student experience, and our Physical Education/Yoga Teachers play a vital role in bringing our vision to life by igniting the limitless potential of all learners. Compensation: Salary placement is based on experience, with credit given for up to 10 years of prior teaching. In addition, Music Teacher positions are scheduled to transition to a 185-day work calendar and will be compensated on the certificated salary schedule beginning in the 2027-2028 school year, providing a clear pathway for professional growth and long-term alignment with certificated roles. The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is located in the North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools.
