As the leader of Paoli Pug Nation, you will oversee all aspects of our sports programs, ensuring that our student-athletes excel in character, academics, and athletic competition. This role requires a hands-on administrator who can manage budgets effectively, recruit and mentor coaching staff, promote a culture of intense school pride (Royal Blue & White), and foster deep engagement with the Paoli community. Core Responsibilities Program Leadership & Culture: Establish a championship-level culture centered on character, sportsmanship, and academic accountability. Ensure all athletic programs align with the district's strategic educational goals. Sport Oversight: Directly oversee operations, scheduling, staffing, and compliance for the following but not limited to sports: Fall: Football, Fastpitch Softball Winter: Boys & Girls Basketball Spring: Baseball, Slowpitch Softball, Soccer, Track & Field Personnel Management: Recruit, evaluate, and mentor a dedicated coaching staff. Ensure all coaches maintain required OSSAA certifications and model positive character for student-athletes. Financial & Budgetary Management: Develop and manage the athletic department budget with strict financial responsibility. Oversee gate receipts, fundraising efforts, equipment procurement, and ensure maximum efficiency of athletic expenditures. OSSAA Compliance: Serve as the district's primary liaison to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA). Ensure absolute compliance with all eligibility, safety, and contest regulations. Facilities & Event Management: Coordinate the scheduling, preparation, and maintenance of all athletic facilities. Oversee game-day operations, including hiring officials, gate workers, security, and medical personnel. Community & Family Engagement: Partner actively with booster clubs, parents, and community stakeholders. Champion "family engagement blowouts" and promotional events to drive community attendance and support for Pug Athletics. Key Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, or related field required; Master's Degree in Educational Leadership preferred. Certification: Valid Oklahoma Teaching or Administrator Certificate preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of successful coaching or athletic administration experience, preferably within Oklahoma public schools. Skills: Deep knowledge of OSSAA rules and regulations. Strong structural budget management and inventory control skills. Excellent communication and community relations abilities. Proven track record of building positive school culture and stakeholder engagement.
