We are seeking a visionary, values-driven Athletic Director to champion our student-athletes, empower our coaching staff, and strengthen our community partnerships. Key Responsibilities

As our Athletic Director, you will report directly to the Principal and Superintendent to oversee the development and success of the entire athletic program:

  • Champion Student Success: Advocate for CNE student-athletes, prioritizing academic eligibility and reinforcing that they are "students first".
  • Lead & Mentor Coaches: Support the Principal in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding coaches ; conduct annual performance evaluations to cultivate growth.
  • Master the Logistics: Coordinate event schedules, contract OHSAA-certified officials, manage team transportation, and oversee athletic budgets.
  • Own the Game-Day Experience: Ensure all athletic facilities are safely and meticulously prepared for competition while coordinating event personnel (timers, security, ticket takers).
  • Engage the Community: Foster deep relationships with families, youth sports organizations, and the athletic booster club, while actively expanding CNE brand awareness through local media and sponsorship strategies.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • State of Ohio Administrative/Supervisor Certificate/License (or equivalent verified experience).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check.
  • 3 or more years of successful coaching experience.

  • Uses data to inform program priorities, improvements, and decisions.

  • Communicates effectively, models exceptional civic and digital citizenship , and builds trust across all roles.

Working Conditions

This role includes dynamic physical and environmental settings, featuring occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions during travel , interaction with unruly children or spectators , and occasional exposure to blood/bodily fluids typical of athletic environments.
