The Assistant Women's Golf Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA Division I women's golf program within the Southeastern Conference and Louisiana State University. This position supports the recruitment, development, coaching, and retention of student-athletes while contributing to the program's operational, administrative, fundraising, alumni engagement, and public relations efforts. The Assistant Coach plays an integral role in fostering a positive student-athlete experience focused on academic achievement, athletic success, personal development, and overall well-being. The position also helps ensure compliance with all NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures while supporting LSU Athletics' mission of excellence, integrity, service, and championship performance in today' s evolving collegiate athletics landscape.
60% Assists with the overall administration and daily operations of the women's golf program, including coordinating team travel, managing travel authorizations and expense reconciliations, processing purchasing and operational documentation, monitoring compliance-related paperwork, and supporting all NCAA, SEC, and institutional administrative requirements. Assists in the coordination of recruiting visits, team functions, alumni engagement initiatives, fundraising activities, NIL and student-athlete brand engagement support, and special events that enhance the visibility and success of the program. Supports communication and organizational efforts related to academics, student-athlete welfare, scheduling, and program operations while helping maintain an efficient and competitive championship-level environment.
25% Assists in coaching, training, mentoring, and developing women's golf student-athletes to perform successfully both academically and athletically. Provides instruction during practices, tournaments, conditioning sessions, and individual skill development while fostering leadership, accountability, mental performance, and overall student-athlete well-being. Evaluates and recruits prospective student-athletes through in-person and virtual recruiting efforts, relationship building, talent evaluation, and strategic roster management in accordance with NCAA, SEC, and LSU rules and regulations. Contributes to creating a positive culture that supports competitive excellence, retention, and student-athlete development in today's evolving collegiate athletics environment.
10% Represents the Department of Athletics and the women's golf program through public relations, community engagement, donor cultivation, alumni outreach, camps and clinics, media opportunities, and other external events. Assists in promoting the program through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders while supporting initiatives that strengthen the visibility, reputation, and community connection of LSU Women's Golf.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of a respectful culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with prior coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate or professional level; Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience coaching a collegiate golf team at the Division I level.
Special or Physical Requirements:
