About Us:
Redline Athletics Bowie is a premier 9,000 sq. ft. youth sports performance training facility in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We specialize in strength, speed, agility, and injury prevention training for athletes ages 8–18, and offer adult fitness, team training, and afterschool programs in partnership with local schools and community organizations.
As we approach our 5-year anniversary, we are hiring a dynamic Assistant General Manager with a genuine passion for working with youth athletes, school-based programs, and teams of all skill levels. This is a growth-focused leadership role with a direct path to General Manager based on performance. The ideal candidate is both a strategic business thinker and a heart-driven coach and mentor.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Leadership & Growth
Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and staff coordination
Drive membership growth and retention
Use business metrics and reporting to guide decision-making
Strengthen community and school partnerships
Improve efficiency and profitability through strong systems
Staff Leadership & Development
Manage a team of 12–20 coaches and interns
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and team performance reviews
Create a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and results
Training & Program Oversight
Oversee quality of training programs and athlete progress
Support training sessions as needed during peak times
Ensure alignment with safety and performance best practices
Launch new programs, refresh underperforming offerings, and sunset programs that are not profitable or underutilized
Member & Athlete Engagement
Build strong, authentic relationships with youth athletes, parents, and school partners
Support the member journey from trial to long-term engagement
Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for athletes of all ages and skill levels
Resolve client issues with professionalism and a solution-focused mindset
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a performance trainer or coach
Passion and proven ability to work with youth athletes, students, and teams
Experience managing or operating a fitness, training, or sports facility
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Psychology, or Business
Valid training certifications (CSCS, NASM-PES, NSCA, or similar)
Demonstrated success in driving business outcomes and leading high-performing teams
Strong communication and organizational skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to lead independently
Ability to support and connect with athletes across a range of skill levels and backgrounds
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $28–$35 per hour
