Part-Time Fitness Desk Attendant

Chevy Chase Club - Chevy Chase, MD

Hourly Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per week, includes evenings and weekends

About the Role

Chevy Chase Club is seeking a friendly and professional Part-Time Fitness Desk Attendant to join our Fitness team. In this front-facing role, you will create a welcoming environment for members and their guests while supporting the daily operations of the fitness center.

This position is ideal for an outgoing, service-oriented individual who enjoys health and fitness, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and guests in a courteous, professional manner
• Provide information about classes, schedules, and fitness programming
• Check in members, verify memberships, and process guest fees
• Answer phones and direct calls/messages to the appropriate staff
• Assist with scheduling and billing of services such as massages and classes
• Ensure fitness desk, lobby, and surrounding areas remain clean and organized
• Stock towels, beverages, and supplies as needed
• Support staff in maintaining cleanliness and safety of fitness equipment and facilities
• Follow club policies and departmental checklists, including accurate shift reporting

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service, reception, or fitness environment desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Comfortable with basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases)
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed
• CPR/AED and Bloodborne Pathogen certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
