Sports and Recreation General Manager Jobs in Idaho
A Sports and Recreation General Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of a sports or fitness facility. A bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field is typically required. Certifications such as Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or Certified Sports Management Professional (CSMP) may be beneficial. Prior to becoming a General Manager, an individual may have roles such as a Recreation Coordinator, Fitness Center Manager, or Sports Facility Manager. These roles provide experience in the operational aspects of a facility, as well as staff management and customer service.
