Sports and Recreation Program Coordinator Jobs in South Carolina
A Sports and Recreation Program Coordinator oversees the development and execution of a variety of sports and recreational programs. They are responsible for organizing events, managing daily operations, coordinating staff, preparing budgets, and promoting the program to increase participation. This role involves ensuring all program activities adhere to regulations and safety standards, developing schedules, and evaluating the effectiveness of programs to ensure they meet the needs of participants.
To be successful in this role, a Sports and Recreation Program Coordinator should have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and good communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree in sports management, recreation, or a related field is typically required. Some roles may also require experience in the industry and specific certifications, such as CPR or first aid training. Before becoming a Sports and Recreation Program Coordinator, a person may have roles such as a Sports Coach, Recreation Assistant, or Fitness Instructor.
