Personal Trainer

The YMCA of Concord is seeking motivated and knowledgeable Personal Trainers to join our wellness team! In this role, you will help members achieve their health and fitness goals by providing individualized support, guidance, and safe instruction in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Personal Trainers play an important role in building relationships with members while promoting healthy lifestyles and the YMCA’s mission of strengthening community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions for YMCA members

  • Conduct health history consultations with new members and provide orientation on the proper use of cardio and strength training equipment

  • Schedule and perform fitness assessments for new and prospective personal training clients

  • Coordinate and schedule personal training sessions with clients

  • Accurately submit documentation and accounting for completed training sessions in a timely manner

  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages member engagement and retention

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification

  • Strong knowledge of exercise science, strength training, and cardiovascular fitness principles

  • Ability to build positive relationships and motivate individuals of varying fitness levels

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
