  • PGA Professional or PGA Associate preferred (maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification; if not a member, actively pursuing PGA membership with proof of timely progress through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program) Note: Strongly prefer minimum of Level 2 (currently) or higher if candidate is a PGA Associate
  • Experience with member-centric and guest service, tournament operations, merchandising
  • High School Diploma/College Degree Preferred
  • Private club experience a plus
  • At least three years in the business
  • Experience teaching new players is a plus
  • Golf Genius software experience required, "expert level skills" preferred

Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, the vision for this role will be to play a leading role on the Tacoma C&GCs Golf Operations team and will work to ensure we have a cohesive team with capacity to succeed in our mission, professionalism, member-centric approach. As such, the team will work together to:

  • Assist with all opening and closing procedures
  • Assist in managing facility tournament operations including weekly events
  • Assist in tournament operations and weekly events including planning, post- tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up
  • Conduct individual lessons and group clinics
  • Assist with mens, womens, and junior golf events and programs
  • Assist with management of outside service staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
  • Assist in managing golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service
  • Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales
  • Play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
  • Assist in coordinating golf activities with other department
