Cape Ann YMCA - Rockport Program Location
Do you have a passion for theater, music, dance, or the performing arts? Are you excited about helping children build confidence, creativity, and teamwork through performance and artistic expression? If so, the Cape Ann YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Performance Camp Counselors to join our summer team in Rockport!
We are seeking energetic, creative, and dependable individuals to help bring our performing arts camp to life. Camp Counselors will work closely with campers to create a fun, supportive, and engaging environment while assisting with rehearsals, activities, performances, and creative projects throughout the summer.
This is a great opportunity for students, aspiring educators, performers, artists, or anyone passionate about working with youth and the arts.
Areas of Interest & Experience
Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:
Theater
Dance
Music
Costume Design
Set Design

What You'll Do
Support daily camp activities and performance-based programming
Assist campers with rehearsals, creative expression, and skill development
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
Encourage teamwork, confidence, and creativity
Assist with costumes, props, set preparation, and performances as needed
Serve as a positive role model for campers and fellow staff

Qualifications

What We're Looking For
Must be 16 years of age or older
Experience in theater, dance, music, or related performing arts preferred
Must be available Monday through Friday
Reliable transportation required
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Passion for working with children and creating a memorable camp experience
