Overview The General Manager (GM) is a Troon associate and the senior executive leader responsible for the professional management, operational performance, and financial health of the community and club operations. The role protects property values, supports resident experience, ensures compliance, and leads the management team. The General Manager executes within adopted budgets and board policy while retaining authority over daily operations, personnel, and service delivery. The position provides executive oversight to both HOA amenities and golf operations while maintaining financial and governance separation between entities. The General Manager is employed and supervised by Troon, with all employment matters managed under Troon authority. Experience Required Florida CAM License. Senior leadership experience in community or club operations. Strong financial and organizational capability. Experience leading multi-department teams. Large-scale or multi-entity environment experience preferred. Executive leadership. Financial literacy. Governance partnership. Communication. Conflict navigation. Strategic thinking. Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Essential Responsibilities Lead all managers, associates, and contract partners. Establish culture, expectations, and accountability. Maintain strong visibility within the community. Deliver consistent, professional operations. Serve as primary liaison to the boards. Prepare agendas, reports, and recommendations. Provide professional guidance for decision-making. Maintain proper distinction between governance and operations. Prepare and manage HOA and golf budgets. Monitor financial performance. Provide variance explanations and forecasting. Ensure proper controls, audits, and reserve practices. Oversee vendor and contract compliance. Ensure clubhouse, dining, lifestyle, fitness, and common areas operate safely and efficiently. Implement service standards. Oversee preventive maintenance and vendor performance. Provide executive leadership to golf department heads. Ensure service, staffing, and financial performance. Present reports to the Golf Board. Coordinate shared services when appropriate. Provide executive direction to F&B leadership. Ensure offerings align with financial objectives and community expectations. Delegate daily execution to department leaders. Maintain transparent communication. Ensure follow-up. Build trust and accessibility. Partner with boards on long-term planning. Oversee projects with attention to cost, timeline, and resident impact. Recruit, develop, and retain strong leaders. Ensure HR compliance. Build succession strength. Hold final management authority over day-to-day operations, staffing, service models, and expenditures within the approved budget.
