Winamac Community High School is seeking an Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 school year (Grades 6-12).

Qualifications:

  • Valid Indiana teaching license preferred
  • Previous coaching and/or athletic administration experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members
  • Knowledge of athletic program management, scheduling, and event supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision for all middle school and high school athletic programs
  • Coordinate athletic schedules, transportation, facilities usage, and event management
  • Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff
  • Ensure compliance with all Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) rules and school policies
  • Develop and maintain athletic budgets, equipment inventories, and purchasing procedures
  • Promote student-athlete academic success, character development, and sportsmanship
  • Coordinate athletic communication through social media, websites, and community outreach
  • Organize postseason tournaments, senior recognition events, and athletic awards programs
  • Work collaboratively with administration, faculty, booster organizations, and community partners
